Tea Breads

Tea bread is like a fruit cake but without the fat so you can slice it thinly and butter it. It's very tasty but not sweet. There are all sorts of regional recipes for this. Many years ago in England, before food was cheap and before pre-packed convenience food was available, nothing was thrown away and even the left-over tea in the tea-pot was used - and so you have tea bread
